NTUC Eldercare officially took over the management of the Henderson Senior Citizens' Home, the May Wong Lifestyle Centre and the May Wong Social Centre from the Chinese Women's Association on 2 January 2010. The Home was managed and funded by the Chinese Women's Association from 1978 to 2009.

The Henderson Senior Citizens' Home (HSCH) is a community service which provides residential and respite care for senior citizens.

Residential Care

The Henderson Senior Citizens' Home provides residential care for needy elderly who are ambulant and who need a place to stay. Some of the residents are on Public Assistance Schemes and stay in the Home long term. The Home also provides short-term residential care for the elderly (from one to four weeks), so as to aid their families temporarily. 

Care Philosophy at the Home

Residents are encouraged to be independent by enjoying the freedom of movement, keeping their rooms clean and cooking for themselves. They also participate in the meaningful and fun activities organised by the May Wong Social Centre, the May Wong Lifestyle Centre and other volunteers.  

Day Care Programme

The May Wong Social Centre provides full-day care programmes (9am to 5pm) during the weekdays to engage the elderly while their family members are away at work. The full-time supervisor, nurse and care assistants provide professional care to the elderly. A medical doctor visits the elderly regularly. The centre also provides meals and transport services at minimal cost.

Senior Activity Centre

The May Wong Lifestyle Centre is a Senior Activity Centre that organizes social day activities for the elderly. Elderly can exercise in the gym, leisure read in the centre, or enjoy a cup of coffee over chat with friends. There is also a HP Lifestyle Centre, donated by Hewlett Packard.

亨德申老人院 

亨德申老人院是为年长者提供住宿及康乐设施的社会服务团体。在这里，行动方便的年长者们可享有以下的福利：

住宿服务

我们为年长者提供舒适的住所，也有专人为他们提供细心的照顾。年长者们可随意参与黄余琼玉乐齡中心与康乐中心举办的各项活动，与享用各项设施。此外，他们也可参加由各慈善团体组织得短途旅游。老人院附近也设有菜市场和熟食中心，十分便利。同时，若年长者们愿意，我们也鼓励他们收拾自己的房间和准备自己的食物以保持活跃的生活方式。

短期照料服务

老人院也提供短期（二至四个星期）的照料服务。如果您需要出国旅行而无法照顾家中的年长者，我们能够为您效劳。

由华人妇女协会管理的黄余琼玉乐齡中心是个让年长者们交流和保持生心开朗的好地方。中心为年过６０的年长者们提供以下服务与设施：
• 全职的中心主任与医护人员的专业照顾
• 志愿医生给予的定期医疗检查
• 接送服务
• 每日午餐，晚餐及点心共使用
• 康乐活动如排舞，太极，个人礼仪课程，卡拉OK，脑力活动
• 其他消闲活动如群体运动，麻将，工艺活动等
• 每周六的免费午餐聚会

黄余琼玉康乐中心为希望自我提升的年长者们提供不同的康乐活动。年长者们能在这里学习如何操作电脑，到图书馆看书，上健康讲座，或参与其他的活动如做帲图，上烹饪课程，缝纫等。我们拥有完善的设施如：
• ＨＰ电脑中心 （由ＨＰ赞助）
• 设备完善的厨房
• 杂志与图书齐全的读书室 
• 小型健身房 （附按摩`椅和跑步机）
• 经济商店
• 会议室
