Independent Living Showroom
Independent Showroom and Assisted Living Devices
This showroom was newly introduced at Jurong Central Centre in March 2007 to enhance the awareness of the carers for elderly on the availability of the various different elder-friendly assistive tools and equipment.
Carers can obtain ideas from this showroom on how to make their family environment more elder-friendly, thus allowing their elderly dependents to be able to lead a more independent and safer life at home.
Talks/Workshops
We actively organise community outreach programmes such as Public Education Workshops at the neighbourhood levels using venues such as the community clubs. Topics covered include health promotion/disease prevention and management, caregiving skills and training, management on inter-generational relations etc. |
